"I have always struggled with my weight.
I have a family health history of diabetes and heart disease. You add the amplification of COVID and back-to-back pregnancies, I was just at a point where I did not feel good about myself.
I was turning 40 in the near future and I looked at that as a catalyst for me; it was a milestone marker that I could use as a point of change.
A good friend of mine had lost a significant amount of weight and said, 'do you know there are weight loss apps that pay you to bet on yourself?'
I thought that was interesting.
I looked into it and came across HealthyWage. I downloaded the app, played around with the calculator to see what my payout could be, and everything seemed pretty straight forward.
It's never a bad thing to bet on yourself. And, that's kind of what you're doing at the end of the day...you're putting your money where your mouth is.
How much do you want it? Are you willing to put money on yourself that you're going to get across the finish line?
I did and even though I didn't hit my original deadline at the end of 9 months, HealthyWage gave me the option to extend my challenge.
15 months after starting my challenge, I submitted my verified weigh-out video showing my 88-pound weight loss (my goal was 70), and HealthyWage paid me $1,701!
Prioritizing my health has been a huge weight off me (no pun intended).
The greatest gift that you can give yourself (and your family!) is taking care of your health.
If you have a competitive edge and you don't like to lose money, take advantage of this opportunity to focus on yourself and win money like I did."
