“This was a health journey for me, not just a weight loss journey. I keep in mind my WHY I want to lose weight. I want to be healthier for two reasons: one, I’m a teacher and I need to set a good example for my students; and two, I have a granddaughter who loves to play and I was getting too heavy to play. I thought, ‘wow, this is my only shot, she’s not going to be little forever.’ And if I don’t change anything, she’s going to remember me as the grandma who just wanted to sit around instead of the grandma who wanted to play. Every day I remind myself of my WHYs and that really helps keep me focused.”
