Getting Started

First - decide how much you want to lose, how much you want to wager, and how long you want to allow to achieve your goal. The higher your goal and the larger the bet - the bigger the payout!
Complete registration, and get a verified weigh-in. Your challenge starts when you get your verified weigh-in!

Playing and Winning

You now have until your victory date to lose that weight! Your victory date will show on your dashboard once you're verified - and will depend on how long you chose to participate.
At the end of the challenge, you can get an ending verified weigh-in on or up to two weeks before your victory date.
If you've met your weight-loss goal, you win!

Getting a Verified Weigh-in is Easy

You can:

Make a 30-second video from the privacy of your home (instructions HERE)

Or;
Visit any fitness professional (e.g., health club worker, slimming club leader) or medical professional (e.g., your doctor). Find more information HERE.

What You Get

We designed the HealthyWager around leading academic research focused on enhancing weight loss success using financial incentives, competition and games.

You choose how much you want to lose, how much you want to wager - and we'll tell you what prize you'll win if you succeed!

The challenge is designed to help end procrastination and encourage perseverance by harnessing the power of (a) your desire to avoid losing your wager and (b) your desire to win the prize.

The HealthyWager works with your weight loss plan (whether it’s Weight Watchers, calorie counting, or anything else) and helps make sure you’re successful in reaching your goals.

Our Chief Fun Officer helps make your experience fun and effective, and makes sure you get paid promptly when you win.

Is this too good to be true?

No, it’s not. HealthyWage makes money from corporate and government clients who are interested in creative solutions to weight loss. In addition, although financial incentives are great weight loss tools, people sometimes lose the weight loss bet. The question is: will HealthyWage make money from you, or will you make money from HealthyWage?
