The Solution: Follow these simple steps:
First, use smaller plates, bowls and utensils - it helps make your portions look bigger! (Trust us here, it works).
Next, plan for seconds. You heard it right - plan for a second helping, but with this in mind: serve yourself half the portion you would normally serve with the understanding and intention that you can go back for a second helping. If you do, serve yourself half as much again as you served yourself the first time.
See what we did there? Even if you go back a third time, you'll still end up eating less. Over time, this tactic will help you feel satisfied with smaller, more appropriate portion sizes.
