HealthyWager Turbo Boost FAQ
HealthyWager participants are encouraged to invite Lifelines to walk alongside them during their weight loss journey. Lifelines can invest in the participant to provide extra motivation. HealthyWage will match a Lifeline's investment at the same ROI (ROI is your Profit / Total Investment -- see example below) rate as the participant's original prize.

What is a Turbo Boost?
A Turbo Boost is a way to earn more money during your challenge. Your Lifelines can invest in your success and for every $1 they invest in you, your prize will increase by the same ROI value as your original prize (maximum 2.0 ROI).
Example: If your investment is $600 and your prize is $1,200, your ROI is 2.0 ($1,200 prize / $600 total investment).
If your ROI is 2.0 and your Lifeline invests $20 you will have $40 added to your prize if you win!
Example: If your investment is $600 and your prize is $2,000, your ROI is 3.33 ($2,000 prize / $600 total investment).
If your ROI is 3.33 and your Lifeline invests $20 you will have $40 added to your prize if you win due to the 2.0 ROI maximum.

How do I get a Turbo Boost?
The first step is to invite Lifelines to support you in your challenge. Your Lifeline will see the Turbo Boost option on your profile and be able to learn more about it. You can also ask them to invest in your success!
Add a Lifeline by scrolling down to the Lifeline section on your "My Stats" screen in the mobile app. Click the "+" button to invite a lifeline via text message, email or social media.
Please note that Turbo Boosts must come from legitimate Lifelines aged 18 years and up. You cannot Turbo Boost yourself. Turbo Boosts from Lifelines that cannot be identity-verified or deemed suspicious will be removed and your challenge could be disqualified. You may not financially incentivize your Lifeline to Turbo Boost you.
When am I eligible to receive a Turbo Boost?
Lifelines can send you a Turbo Boost anytime in the first 60 days of your challenge. The 60 days starts once you get a verified weigh-in.
Do I get the Turbo Boost even if I don't win?
No, you must win to collect your Turbo Boost.
What if I’m embarrassed?
That's OK! Asking for support is really hard, but remember your friends and family WANT to support you on this life-changing journey!
What does my Lifeline have to do?
We want to make it as easy as possible for your Lifelines to support you. All your Lifeline has to do is click the Turbo Boost option that appears when they click on your name on their Lifeline profile. They can determine how much they want to invest and we will tell them how much they will add to your prize.
Can another HealthyWager participant give me a Turbo Boost?
Absolutely! Other HealthyWager participants are some of the best supporters.
Can I get a Turbo Boost in any of my other challenges?
Not at this time. Turbo Boost is only for HealthyWager participants.
Is there a limit to the amount of Turbo Boosts I can receive?
Yes. You cannot receive more than 5 Turbo Boosts in your challenge.
For Lifelines (Including Non-HealthyWage Participants)
What is a Turbo Boost?
A Turbo Boost is a way to invest in the success of your friend. As a Lifeline, you can invest in your friend and for every $1 you contribute, your friend's prize will increase by the same ROI value as their original prize (up to 2.0 ROI).
Example: If their ROI is 2.0 and you invest $20 they will have $40 added to their prize if they win!
How to I send a Turbo Boost?
On your Lifeline dashboard, click the down arrow next to your friend's name and photo. You will see the Turbo Boost option if they are eligible (see below for eligibility).
When is my friend eligible to receive a Turbo Boost?
You can send a Turbo Boost to your friend anytime in the first 60 days of their challenge. The 60 days starts once they get a verified weigh-in.
How much can I contribute?
That is up to you! The minimum amount to contribute is $5 and the maximum amount is $250.
Is Turbo Boost required to be a Lifeline?
Absolutely not! It's completely free for you to sign up and support your friend during his or her journey. Turbo Boost is available if you choose.
Can I Turbo Boost my friend more than once?
No, for now you can only give your friend a Turbo Boost one time in their challenge.
Do I get my money back if my friend doesn't win?
No, your contribution is meant as motivation for your friend to be successful. Just like they are betting on themselves, they only get your contribution if they win.
