The Slim to Win challenge for ATK employees lasts 12 weeks, starting on August 4, 2014 and finishing on October 27, 2014. There are prizes for the top three teams for each business group Aerospace, Corporate, Defense and Sporting (12 team prizes) and then additional individual cash prizes based on the number of employees who sign-up. For each employee that signs-up, $20 will be added to the pot. Prize dollars are funded by wellness credits ATK received from our vendors. Here’s how it works: If there are 3,000 ATK employees in the challenge, there will be a total of $60,000 in cash prizes. Wow! The bigger the number of employees, the bigger the pot of cash prizes!
Each team must have five members since Slim to Win is a team challenge. If you don't have a team of five, don't worry. HealthyWage will match you up with new friends in your business group when the challenge starts. We make sure everyone is on a team.
Step on your own scale once a week and enter it on the HealthyWage website (these weigh-ins do not need to be verified). All the other ATK employees need to know where they stand in the challenge, so it's important for everyone to keep up with weigh-ins.
The top prize is awarded based on a ranking of ATK teams according to team mean proportionate weight loss. “Team mean proportionate weight loss” is the average of each team member’s proportionate weight loss, which is measured by finding the difference between an employee’s verified starting weight and verified ending weight, and dividing that difference by the employee’s verified starting weight. The individual prizes are awarded based on a draw among employees whose proportionate weight loss is within the boundaries set above.
When we tabulate the results, we do not count weight loss beyond 16.59% for any team member.
Yes, you can lose more than 16.59% (you will NOT be disqualified), but the extra weight loss won’t count toward your team’s average. The goal is to get your entire team to lose a healthy amount of weight!
Your team must take a before photo (either a team photo or individual photos). If you choose not to submit the before photo(s) for the first mini-challenge, that's okay. Just hang on to your photo(s) until the challenge ends.
The members of the winning team will receive a check for one-fifth of the prize money won by that team.
In the unlikely event of a tie or weight-reporting (or other) dispute, the winner of the tie will be the team that earns the most aggregate votes in the optional Mini-Challenges that take place every other week during the Team Challenge program. Each team will receive instructions by email and on the Team Challenge team page for submitting entries in the Team Challenge Mini-Challenges. The criteria for voting on each Mini-Challenge is the same: voters are instructed to carefully review the entries and select the one entry that is the most likely to inspire the most people to lose weight and be healthy.
By its nature, this program is not anonymous; your participation can be known by other ATK employees, such as your name being used as the captain of a team.
ATK and HealthyWage reserve the right to publish photos and personal stories from participants. These may be used to share the success and experience of the program with others, including internally with ATK and externally with other organizations.
To keep the game fair, HealthyWage will appoint at least one referee for the challenge. HealthyWage does not profit from disqualifying any team, as someone will win each prize; all prizes will be awarded.
HealthyWage’s referee(s) will act as the final referee and arbiter and HealthyWage has sole and exclusive discretion in applying the rules, making any necessary disqualifications and determining the winners. A team or individual that has been disqualified is not eligible to win any of the prizes.
HealthyWage is under no obligation to demonstrate mathematically, or otherwise, how it determined winning status, or to prove or provide any accounting as to how winners were chosen. All decisions taken by HealthyWage are final and cannot be appealed.
Several team challenge mini-challenges will be held during the course of the challenge. Your team can only win one mini-challenge during the challenge; if your team comes first in more than one mini-challenge, the next highest-ranking team will win).
Teams will receive instructions in advance of each mini-challenge and, in order to win a mini-challenge prize, your team must submit the team's entry according to the instructions provided. No one is permitted to cast more than one vote in any one mini-challenge. Facebook Connect is used to help us review this; you must use Facebook Connect to vote.
In order to make the team challenge fair, it is important that voting be objective. Please carefully consider the entries and then vote for the one entry that you determine is the most likely to inspire the most people to lose weight and be healthy. Please note that, as discussed above, the Mini-Challenge voting is also important in the unlikely event of a tie in the over-all Team Challenge. In the event of a tie, the team with the most aggregate votes over the course of the Mini-Challenges during the program will win the tie.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The Challenge is available only to eligible ATK employees as of August 4, 2014. Employees agree to obtain any necessary medical clearance from their provider prior to participation.
ATK and its shareholders, employees, directors, officers, affiliates, representatives, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in transmission, transaction processing, or communication; technical or mechanical malfunctions; errors in these Official Rules, in any promotion-related advertisements or other materials; human-processing error; failures of electronic equipment or computer hardware or software; or inaccurate information, whether caused by equipment, programming used in this Promotion, human error or otherwise. The Released Parties and their designees and assigns and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives and agents shall have no liability and will be held harmless for any liability, loss, injury or death to entrant or any other person, including, without limitation, damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance or possession of a prize (including any prize activity related thereto) or participation in this Event.
Except where prohibited by law, by entering the Event, entrant agrees that any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Event but in no event attorneys' and/or experts’ fees and further, entrant waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages, attorneys’ fees and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased or any damages other than actual out-of-pocket costs or losses that may arise in connection with participation in this Event or acceptance, possession and/or use of the prize.
Each winner acknowledges that no other party nor any agent or attorney of any other party has made any promise, representation or warranty whatsoever, express or implied, not contained herein concerning the subject matter hereof, to induce the winner to execute any document and winners acknowledge that they have not executed any document in reliance on any such promise, representation or warranty not contained herein. Any waiver by the Sponsor and its affiliates of any term of any document in a particular instance shall not be a waiver of such term for the future. Each winner agrees that the invalidity or enforceability of any part of any document shall in no way affect the validity or enforceability of any of the remainder of that document.
Employees agree to allow HealthyWage and ATK, and/or their designees, the perpetual right to use his/her name, personal information, photos, videos and/or likeness, and statements for the following purposes: (i) to identify you publicly as a winner; (ii) for purposes of operating the Event as described in these Rules and/or to confirm compliance with the entry requirements; (iii) for any other promotional, communications or publicity needs, including but not limited to posting on ATK and/or ATK corporate intranets, websites, digital screens and newsletters and externally with other organizations, all without notice, review or approval except where required by law, and without additional compensation except where prohibited by law.

Verifications deadlines are met as soon as your verification is witnessed. It is okay if HealthyWage doesn't get the data right away—you have 72 hours (or more, in our discretion) to make sure we have the data.
What to wear: One layer of normal workout or street clothing in addition to undergarments. No shoes, nothing in your pockets, and no jackets.
Print your VerifyMe! form from the "Get verified" link under the green button on your dashboard.
Get weighed-in by any wellness, health, pharmacy, or medical professional. All they have to do is fill out and sign the form, and then you will scan or snap a photo of the form with your phone and upload it to our website. Or, the verifier can enter it on the website.
Almost any fitness or health professional will be happy to spend the few minutes to help you. Just in case you have trouble, our verifications department maintains weigh-in partnerships with thousands of health clubs, but remember: you do not need to use one of our clubs.
Depending on when the verifier reports the verification it can be within the hour or may take a few days. But don't worry - your verification will be valid from the day you do the weigh-in.
Meeting members only! You do not need to use our VerifyMe! form. Just upload a photo of your Weight Watchers weigh-in print-out or official stamp in your book after your normal weigh-in. Keep in mind that HealthyWage loves Weight Watchers; we have Weight Watchers lifetime members on our staff; and many Weight Watchers franchisees and employees love HealthyWage; however, HealthyWage is not endorsed by Weight Watchers, which is a registered trademark of Weight Watchers International. Please do not ask for a special weigh-in for your HealthyWage challenge (just do it as part of your normal Weight Watchers weigh-in) or do anything else that would cause Weight Watchers to bear a cost on behalf of HealthyWage.

Make your best effort to ensure that your verified weigh-in has been measured and reported truthfully and accurately.
As part of our verified weight audits, we occasionally request that some (very few) employees get a second, confirmational weigh-in by a HealthyWage-selected person or method, which we arrange at our expense. You must cooperate with HealthyWage winners department crew members if they request an additional verification or any other assistance in verifying the truth and accuracy of your weight loss. Differences of more than a few pounds between an employees's verified weight as reported by a verifier selected by the employee, on the one hand, and the same employee’s verified weight as reported by a verifier selected by HealthyWage, on the other hand, may result in disqualification.
Your verification may not be valid if HealthyWage does not receive the verified measurements within 72 hours after they are taken, or if HealthyWage is not able to locate your verifier or confirm your verification with your verifier, or if your verifier indicates that he/she did not personally take your weight-and-height measurements, or if your verifier refuses, upon HealthyWage's request, to provide a sworn statement about the verifications, or other request made by HealthyWage.
These rules apply to all our challenges.
Go for it! You can do all of our challenges at the same time – you just can’t be in the same type of challenge at the same time – i.e., it’s okay to join a Team Challenge and a HealthyWager at once, but not two Team Challenges at once.
You must have your weight verified once at the start and again at the end of each of your challenges.. Verification can be done from the privacy of your home by making a video and uploading it to our website. At select ATK locations you can also visit the onsite occupational health nurse for weight verification. Or, you can visit a health club or physician and have them verify you.
We use proprietary algorithms, weigh-in reviews and, if necessary, outside investigators and law enforcement to catch cheaters. The consequences are not worth the benefit. The rule also applies to folks who are dishonest with the HealthyWage crew or a verifier or anyone else in connection with your challenge.
Doing unhealthy things in order to “game” the challenge is prohibited, including, but not limited to, deliberate weight gain (before, during, or after a HealthyWage challenge), starvation (defined as eating fewer calories each day than your doctor recommends), excessive exercise (defined as exercise that exceeds your doctor’s recommended amount of exercise, in terms of type, frequency and duration), water deprivation, unusual water consumption, self-induced vomiting, diuretics, laxatives, or any weight loss or weight gain plan that your doctor does or would advise against, or that, in HealthyWage’s sole and exclusive discretion, would be considered unhealthy or unfair by an ordinary person.
Be nice, please! Harassment of any kind, whether of your own teammates or other teams or employees not participating in Slim to Win is prohibited. You are encouraged to support your teammates, but you covenant and agree that unwelcome emotional, physical, or other abuse is absolutely forbidden. Harassment shall also include any words or actions that, in HealthyWage’s sole and exclusive discretion, would be likely to cause any of your teammates, or any other person, to feel pressured to do any of the unhealthy things defined above.
You will be disqualified from the challenge.
You cannot take part in the challenge if you are currently pregnant. If you become pregnant during your challenge, it is no longer appropriate to participate. You should email email@example.com and we will remove you from your team and find a replacement. If you enter a challenge while pregnant, you will be disqualified. Weight loss caused by giving birth does not count. Sorry mom!
You may not have liposuction, bariatric surgery, or any other weight-loss surgery during your challenge or within one year prior to your challenge start date.
