Successful weight loss takes time and dedication. Most people think that in order to lose weight they have to adhere to a lifestyle of restriction and deprivation. Well guess what? It’s just not true! You CAN “have your cake and eat it too.” You just can’t have the whole cake in the process!? My success stems from a simple rule that I live by: be 80% good, 100% of the time. Ensuring a proper balance of healthy food choices and your favorite indulgences is really the key to a realistic approach to healthy living. So, are you ready to change? Let me help---I’ll share some of the strategies that allowed me lose over 200lbs on The Biggest Loser, and keep it off. Ladies and Gentlemen, your success story awaits…

Hi! I'm brand new to this site. I'm 20 years old and have roughly 50-60 pounds to lose. I'm so tired of being overweight. Especially at my age. Any tips or motivation would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Neil, I really need to lose more weight, seems like I really have to work very hard and with dedication on workouts just to loose a few pounds a week. What do you recommend I can go to help process

I keep as many of the bad snack foods out of my house. But, since I know I will snack at times, I keep low calorie items around, like celery, sugar free jello, etc. A small snack can help me from falling off the wagon. Also, drink water when you are feeling hungry - with a small snack it can help get rid of that hungry feeling.

Hi. I just joined. I have been struggleing to lose 45 lbs and I feel as though I am always hungry, Even though I know I am not I still eat. Do you have any advise or tips or even substitute snacks I can eat that will make me feel full?

Neil, a lot of people working on their weight are still struggling with developing their willpower. Could you please share with us when you decided to take control of your health, and what keeps you motivated to continue good health habits?

Any news alinchik? I'm still the same weight (no gain, no loss). My goal is to lose anything for next week. Got to start somewhere. Also, are you logging your meals? I find that helps me stay honest as well.

Midgar, 3 months ago

We've all been struggling Alinchik - just don't give up. I've lost 0 pounds over the last 2 months, and am startiing up this week to get back to a healthier diet. I'll check back with you on Monday to find out if you've hopped back on the wagon! You can help keep me honest as well.

You burn more calories standing up rather than sitting down, so get up!

What's your favorite "pump up" song to exercise to? Rocky's "Eye of the Tiger" has to be up there!

NeilTejwani, 4 months ago

Exercise Tip: The average person can walk between 1-3 miles in just one hour of window shopping at the mall

I'm not a big believer in will power. I don't believe some people have will power and others don't. I believe some people are ready to change and others are just not yet. So everyday remind yourself, today's the day I make a change and stick to it! Who's ready to make that change??

NeilTejwani, 4 months ago

Hey everyone! Remember you have to lose the first pound before you can lose the first 100. Every pound you lose is just one step closer to where you want to be.
